Prior to its release, the Fennec Fox was not available for adoption and could only be found through luck and determination. Players had a chance to hatch a Fennec Fox by using one of three different eggs - a Royal Egg, a Pet Egg, or a Cracked Egg. These eggs had varying probabilities of containing the elusive pet, with the Royal Egg offering a 6.25% chance, the Pet Egg a slightly higher 8.75% chance, and the Cracked Egg offering an 8.25% chance. Despite the low chances, players were eager to obtain this rare pet and spent countless hours trying to hatch it. However, on July 14, 2022, during the highly anticipated Basic Egg Refresh update, the Fennec Fox was moved into the Retired Egg, much to the disappointment of players. This means that the only way to obtain this beloved pet now is through trading with other players or by hatching from a Retired Egg, which still has a decent chance of containing a Fennec Fox at 8.75%. As a non-limited pet, the Fennec Fox is a popular choice amongst players in Adopt Me! It can be trained, aged up, and even dressed up in various outfits and accessories.
